Donnagh Fitzpatrick is an acclaimed Irish director based in Meath/Dublin, his work is defined by its emotional depth, striking visual storytelling, and a commitment to nuanced narratives. His films - often set against rugged Irish backdrops - explore themes of resilience, identity, and human connection, resonating with audiences on a deeply personal level.

​Donnagh’s debut short film 'Tiger Tiger' and follow-up 'Turf' both premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. He gained further recognition at the 2023 Cannes Lions, where his short film script for 'I Don’t Dance' earned him the coveted YDA Silver Screen award (Young Director’s Award). In February of 2025 Donnagh was shortlisted at the Kinsale Shark Awards Short Film Scriptwriting Competition for his script 'The Vanishing Bride'.

His recent work includes the music video 'Tonnta' for folk band Amble, featuring acclaimed actor Laurence Kinlan, and 'The Sailor & The Saint' for Charles James & The Rise. Both videos have been selected for the prestigious 1.4 Awards 2025 long list. 

Throughout his career, Donnagh has built a diverse portfolio, working with renowned artists such as Amble, Curtis Walsh, and Charles James & The Rise. He has directed, written, and produced projects for leading brands and production companies, including Fáilte Ireland, Wonderbread Films, Paragon Records, and In the Company of Huskies.

Donnagh’s 2024 film Lonely Island for Amble received widespread acclaim, winning Best Music Video at the LNDN and the Nottingham Music Video Awards. It also garnered awards at the Munich and Rome Music Video Awards, where he was honoured as Best Director. His visually arresting video Waterfalls earned Best Short at the Curated Indie Shorts Film Festival.

Donnagh’s work has been featured in publications such as Hot Press, Wonderland, and Scannain. With a focus on crafting authentic, impactful stories, he is committed to creating films that both entertain and inspire.
